Lockdown has been extremely challenging for me – it’s difficult not to feel trapped by the walls around me, and by the confines of my own mind. It has certainly been a period of self-discovery, giving me time to contemplate simplicity that makes me happy – salt air, the smell of mulch forgotten, crushed velvet, the music of crashing waves and skies. It’s been important for me to take time out of my day to keep these thoughts lingering in the corners of my mind, and remind myself that self care is NOT selfish.
